Lantra qualifications are government approved, recognised by employers and insurers and are suitable for all abilities, from novice through to experienced operatives aged 16+. On completion of courses a photographic ID card and certificate for the completion of the course are provided.
Lantra qualifications are valid for life however best working practices evolve and it is advised to take refresher courses every 3 – 5 years to keep up to date.
LANTRA – LEVEL 2 NVQ IN PLANT OPERATIONS (CONSTRUCTION) (WORK PLATFORMS)
The Lantra Awards Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Plant Operations (Work Platforms) is a Competency Based Qualification (CBQ) based on the occupational standards for construction and the built environment, which were set and designed by ConstructionSkills, and which exist to ensure that personnel working within industry meet the required minimum standards.
The qualification will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for plant operations specialising in work platforms.
COURSE INFORMATION
On completion of this qualification, your knowledge, understanding and skills will have been assessed in the following areas:
- Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
- Preparing and operating plant in the workplace.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This qualification is for you if you are currently working – or are looking for work – and wish to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills in plant operations.
This qualification is available for individuals aged 18 and above.
ASSESSMENT
The expected guided learning hours is 57 hours, however please note this may vary according to factors such as level of experience, modules or attachments selected, or the ratio of Assessors to Learners.
The assessment will consist of a portfolio of evidence and observation of performance in the workplace. It will assess your knowledge and understanding relating to:
- Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
- Preparing and operating plant in the workplace.
CERTIFICATION
This qualification is supported by ConstructionSkills, the Skills Council for construction and the built environment.
