Lantra qualifications are government approved, recognised by employers and insurers and are suitable for all abilities, from novice through to experienced operatives aged 16+. On completion of courses a photographic ID card and certificate for the completion of the course are provided.
Lantra qualifications are valid for life however best working practices evolve and it is advised to take refresher courses every 3 – 5 years to keep up to date.
LANTRA LIFT TRUCK FOR SUPERVISORS AND MANAGERS
This Lantra awards course provides a greater understanding of health and safety requirements and the ability to recognise and deal with potential hazards in a lift truck operating environment.
The law requires supervisors and managers to provide adequate supervision to operatives/teams, so it is essential that supervisors and managers have enough training and knowledge to recognise safe and unsafe practices, to understand the risks involved, and how to avoid or prevent them.
Course duration: 1 Day
COURSE INFORMATION
On completion of this course, you will have proved your ability to:
- Use theoretical and practical knowledge to recognise, prevent and correct unsafe practice resulting from the use of lift trucks
- Use the information and knowledge to assist in ensuring your own safety and the safety of others who may be affected by the use of lift trucks
- Understand your legal responsibility as a supervisor or manager
- Be aware of the main areas of the risk involved with lift trucks
- Spot good and bad practice
- Safeguard your business and reduce the risk of damage to your assets.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This course is suitable for all Supervisors and Managers working in a lift truck operating environment.
It is an ideal training opportunity for those new to a supervisor or manager role, and also refresher training for more experienced supervisors and managers.
ASSESSMENT
The course will give you increased confidence in recognising good and bad practice, and how to implement health and safety measures to reduce the risk of accidents involving lift trucks.
There are no assessments as part of this course.
CERTIFICATION
If successful in meeting the required standards assessed, you will be awarded a certificate of competence and a Lantra skills ID card for your chosen certificate option.
